It’s not difficult to enjoy The Noose.
It has its hits and misses, but the beauty of the show is its snarky, thoughtfully-scripted take on current affairs and news topics.
After a four-year hiatus, the satirical news show finally returns with its 10th season as The Noose Gets Smart, a Toggle Originals web series.
The 10th season tackles timely topics such as a sputtering economy, the rising cost of living, planning for retirement, integrating newcomers, job transitions, access to affordable healthcare and housing.
As usual, The Noose “reports” such topics with their trademark humour led by their outlandish news anchors… or rather, noose anchors.
Not only do well-loved characters as Jojo Joget, Nicholas Le Fong, Andre Cicak and Jacques Ooi return to The Noose, they also help to find productive solutions to the everyday anxieties Singaporeans may be facing.
