46 million people under quarantine
About 46 million people are affected by the lockdown.
Unable to travel out of their cities, and stuck at home for most of the time other than making the necessary trips to get food and other essentials, some Chinese have come up with innovative ways to while away their time indoors.
The hashtag, "What to do when you're stuck at home" (#家里蹲时做什么) has been read about 20 million times on popular microblogging site Weibo.
Here are some of the antics people got up to at home when going out was not exactly an option.
Pretending to be a monster that gobbles up and spits out cars.
Performing the lion dance using a simple blanket and bucket & pretending to be a blacksmith (second clip)
Playing ring toss & exercising indoors
Swinging at home
Playing all four persons at a mahjong game
