Kira Peace is a New Zealand singer-songwriter based in Singapore who performs at various venues.

She is known for her videos of herself singing in public, in Singapore and other countries.

Here are some of them.

She also sings on public transport, most notably on buses.

@kirapeace Replying to @𝓢🪷 my guilty pleasure all the way!! #kirapeace #iloveitiloveitiloveit #bellakay #sgtiktok #bus ♬ original sound - kira

Although she does appear to get some less-than-encouraging responses sometimes.

@kirapeace Can anyone tell me what that uncle was shouting at me?? #kirapeace #icoulddietonight # #bully #sgtiktok ♬ original sound - kira

A recent video of her saw a different type of warning given. With a bus driver climbing up to the second story to remind her not to stand up while performing.

Kira had been jamming with a passenger, Louis, with another passenger clapping along, when the driver comes up to remind her to only "sit and sing", possibly in reference to guidelines on not standing on the second floor.

Kira apologises and quickly sits down.

Where she launches back into song.

@kirapeace Louis I hope you find this! 🫶 you made my week :) all the best to you and your fiancée 💗 #kirapeace #icoulddietonight #improvisation #improv #sgtiktok ♬ original sound - kira

Connecting with people

In response to Mothership's queries on the video, Kira said she loved singing and connecting with people.

"I’ve always loved singing to people and connecting with them. Singing on buses is something I find really fun and engaging.

I enjoy seeing people’s reactions to something so unconventional — and even more, the moments where it makes someone smile or brightens their day through a simple act of kindness."
