More than 10 people seen fighting & throwing punches at Boat Quay area

A group of more than 10 people were seen fighting at Circular Road near Boat Quay in the wee hours of May 3.

A driver who witnessed the altercation shared with Mothership that it occurred at about 3:14am as he was about to drive through the road, but his passage was blocked.

Throwing punches

In the video captured by the driver, a group of people, including three women and more than seven men, were seen arguing and fighting.

One woman was seen fending off a man charging into the group, with another man holding him back.

A man wearing a beige shirt was seen throwing a punch and tripping, before a man in a cap took the chance to kick him.

Another man then rushed over to knock into the man in the beige shirt from the back, before running over to punch him in the face.

The woman from earlier was again seen stopping this man from engaging further.

Those found guilty of affray can be jailed for up to a year, fined up to S$5,000, or both.
