M’sian man remarries wife after she lost memory of him & their children due to accident 8 years ago

Eight years after his wife lost most of her memories following an accident, including memories of him and their children, a Malaysian man decided to marry her again.

The surprise ceremony was planned quietly with the help of a photographer and their children, who took part in recreating the moment at home.

Wife could not recognise husband after waking from coma

In a video documenting their story, the wife shared that she could not remember her husband when she first woke up from a coma following the accident.

She had also lost the use of many basic faculties and had to rely heavily on her husband for support.

Even though she lost her memory, she said she still felt she had chosen the right partner in life.

“I didn’t make the wrong choice choosing him as my husband,” she said.

Husband remained strong for the family

The husband described the period after the accident as one of the most difficult times in his life, especially as their children were still young.

However, he knew he had to remain strong for his family and continue caring for his wife.

Planned surprise ceremony to create new memories together

Hoping to create new memories with her, he arranged a surprise ceremony with their children waiting inside the house holding flower petals.

In the video, the couple are seen dressed in matching traditional outfits as he gently walked her into the house, where the children welcomed them by tossing petals into the air.

He later shared that the surprise was meant to make her happy and remind her of the life they had built together.

Couple exchanged their wedding rings again

He also prepared their original wedding rings for the ceremony.

Although her fingers had become thinner after the accident, he placed the ring back on her finger as they exchanged rings once more.

The moment left her visibly emotional, and she thanked him for continuing to stand by her through the years.

“Let me stay with her every moment until the end”

The video ended with the husband expressing his wish to continue caring for her for the rest of their lives.

“In this life, everyone will leave someday,” he said.

“So let me stay with her every moment until the end.”
