More pickup points
Cross-border taxis were previously only allowed to use one designated pickup and drop-off point on each side of the border at Ban San Street in Singapore and Johor Larkin Sentral in Malaysia.
Taxis are able to pick up passengers in their home country without restrictions, which will remain unchanged.
From May 4, taxis in the foreign country will have three new designated pick-up points via ride-hail or e-hailing bookings.
For Malaysia taxis in Singapore, these are near VivoCity (HarbourFront MRT), near Century Square Shopping Mall (Tampines MRT) and Joo Koon (Joo Koon MRT).
For Singapore taxis in Malaysia, these are Toppen Shopping Centre, Mid Valley Southkey Mall and Angsana Mall.
Street-hail and ride-hail will continue to be allowed at Ban San Street Terminal and Larkin Terminal.
