Katseye member Megan's S'porean mum celebrates Coachella debut
This song's so lit, congratulations.
Global girl group Katseye made their Coachella debut on Apr. 10.
Singaporean Sylvia Lee was in the crowd cheering on her daughter, Megan Skiendiel, at the group's set on the Sahara Stage.
In an Instagram post on Apr. 12, Lee said, “Last night was so incredible. I can’t believe that I’m actually standing in front of the Sahara Stage watching my baby girl and her sisters crush it at their debut at Coachella.”
The 20-year-old singer performed alongside her bandmates Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Sophia Laforteza and Yoonchae Jeung.
Member Manon Bannerman, who has been on hiatus since Feb. 20, did not perform.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is an annual event held in Indio, California, bringing together some of the biggest musicians to perform across two weekends.
The girl group brought Huntr/x singers Ejae, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami from KPop Demon Hunters onstage as surprise guests, reported Variety.
Lee's Instagram post also featured other familiar faces, such as KPop Demon Hunters’ Korean-American singer Ejae and American rapper Snoop Dogg.
In the caption, she also congratulated the group's record label, staff, production crew, dancers and Katseye's fans, known collectively as Eyekons.
Lee often posts about significant events in her daughter's career, such as accompanying her during the 2026 Grammy Awards and during the group's Beautiful Chaos tour.
Megan Skiendiel
Skiendiel, whose mother is Singaporean-Chinese and father is American-Swedish, grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii, with her elder brother.
As a trainee, she beat more than 120,000 young women worldwide who participated in online and offline auditions.
The rigorous trainee program and resulting survival show, Dream Academy, was held jointly by record labels Hybe and Geffen.
Hybe is the South Korean label behind BTS, and Geffen, an American label under Universal Music Group, is home to Olivia Rodrigo.
In a 2024 interview with The Straits Times, Skiendiel said her family would make it a point to visit and stay with her maternal grandmother in Singapore every year.
She was last spotted in Singapore in December 2024, according to CNA.
