S'pore man goes to Changi TCM thinking it was illicit massage place, staff corrects him, he leaves embarrassed
Refund.
Some massage parlours along Changi Road are allegedly offering "special services".
According to a Shin Min article, at least five parlours were allegedly offering these services.
They noted that there was a stark difference between the attire and decor of the "legitimate" TCM places, and the places that some readers had tipped them off on.
Through talking with staff from one of the "legitimate" places, they found that these shops were aware of their more illicit neighbours.
When asked about potential competition, they matter-of-factly said that those who wanted to go to those establishments would not go to theirs.
With some slight mistaken exceptions, of course.
An employee said that a male customer had once come in for a massage, paid, and waited inside for his "friend," but the friend never showed up.
The male customer then learned that his friend was waiting at another store and that he had gone to the wrong place.
The place his friend was at was of the more illicit persuasion.
"The man then explained the situation, and after we understood, we agreed to a refund, and he left embarrassed."
The Shin Min reporter then went to some of these massage places to verify the claims.
There were about seven or eight female technicians in this massage parlour, from a variety of Southeast Asian and East Asian countries.
The reporter noted that they did offer him "special services" and when he refused, they tried to tell him that business had been bad lately.
They, however, stopped offering after he refused again.
