Thai woman, 37, marries 2 Austrian men at the same wedding ceremony

A 37-year-old Thai woman married two Austrian men in a single wedding ceremony on Feb. 28.

According to Khaosod English, Duangduan Ketsaro married the two close friends in Buriram after the three of them agreed to do so following years of relationships with the woman.

Two men are close friends

Duangduan, who was previously married to a Thai man, had initially entered into a relationship with one of the men, Roman.

The mother of three had met the retired police officer while working in Pattaya and later cohabited with him for five years.

She later met his close friend, Macky, an Austrian police officer, who also fell in love with her.

The three of them eventually agreed that she would marry both men after she began a relationship with Macky for about a year.

Parents approved as long as she's is happy

Duangduan's parents had approved of the arrangement, citing that both men have taken good care of her and her family.

Her mother said that she had witnessed her struggles over the years and is content so long as Duangduan is "happy and well cared for".

Roman and Macky will also transfer one million baht (S$40,700) each as Duangduan's dowry.

Her mother also said that the family is not concerned about the dowry and only hopes the couple will "live together with love and understanding".
