S'pore man wins S$250,000 after finding Hunt The Mouse gold coin under tree in Upper Thomson

A man in Singapore found the Hunt The Mouse gold coin worth S$250,000 in Upper Thomson on Feb. 26.
In a Facebook post on Feb. 28, Singapore-based organiser and gamification company Sqkii confirmed that the coin was found under a tree along Tagore Road at 11:32pm by player Jun Liang.

A clip shared by Sqkii in an Instagram story showed the man holding and posing with the SG60-edition gold coin, before placing the coin back into its original position and filming the surrounding area.

According to Sqkii in its Facebook post, its team later completed a "thorough verification process" and confirmed that Jun Liang found the coin "fair and square" by solving the hints and cross referencing map grids.
The company, which partnered with fintech firm Revolut, said that he is eligible for the S$250,000 prize.
With the coin now recovered, the company also said it will reveal the winners of its IKWL gameplay segment at an official determination event conducted with an independent third-party scrutineer.
More details about the event and the additional winners are expected to be shared in the coming days.
The high-stakes hunt challenged participants to decipher a series of clues and navigate a gridded map in a bid to locate hidden gold and silver coins.The organiser also dropped daily hints on social media to assist players in locating the coins, with silver coins valued at least S$500.
