Japanese izakaya and yakitori chain, Torikizoku is coming to Singapore.

According to The Nikkei, Japan's Eternal Hospitality Group will franchise the brand through Gohan Concepts, a joint venture between Fairprice Group and BHAG Pte. Ltd.

Based on a company notice posted to the group's website on Feb. 27, the formal agreement will be signed in March.

This follows the group's plans to expand into Southeast Asia, following agreements in Vietnam and the Philippines.

Franchise concept

Torikizoku is known for its consistently fixed-price menu and the "everything 390 yen (S$3.16)" concept.

It serves Japanese bar fare, which includes grilled skewers, rice sets, and an extensive alcoholic drink menu.

The group currently operates overseas stores in China, Taiwan, South Korea and the U.S.
