Motorcyclist, 34, dies after accident involving motorcycle & trailer on BKE
A 29-year-old male trailer driver is assisting with investigations.

A 34-year-old man died after an accident involving a motorcycle and trailer on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) on May 29 morning.
The deceased was the motorcyclist.
The police and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to an accident on the BKE towards the PIE at about 9:50am.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.
Photos and videos taken in the aftermath of the accident showed a motorcycle on its side and a man lying on the road on the two rightmost lanes of the expressway.
Another video showed a blue sheet on the road.

Statistics
While motorcycles made up only about 15 per cent of Singapore’s total vehicle population in 2025, motorcyclists and pillion riders accounted for 53 per cent of deaths on the road.
This is according to annual statistics released by the Traffic Police in February 2026, which also revealed that those riding were involved in 54.8 per cent of all traffic accidents in Singapore.
