MOE appoints 4 operators to replace Little Professors Learning Centre student care service at 8 primary schools
The replacement operators are set to begin operations on Apr. 6.
The Ministry of Education (MOE) has appointed four operators to take over after-school care services at eight primary schools previously served by Little Professors Learning Centre (LPLC), following the termination of the latter's contracts in February 2026.
The replacement operators are set to begin operations on Apr. 6, with MOE providing support to affected families during the transition.

The appointment will include Kindergarten Care (KCare) services for the primary schools with MOE Kindergartens (MKs).

According to MOE, the four operators were selected after evaluating 11 bidding companies, consisting of existing operators with experience and good track records in delivering after-school care services.
Following the termination of LPLC's contracts, staff at the affected schools stepped up to ensure continuity of after-school care.
Affected parents were also not charged for services in February and March 2026.
Next, MOE will also absorb SCC and KCare fees for April and May 2026 to ease the transition for affected families.
In June 2026, parents whose new operators charge higher fees will only be required to pay the rates previously charged by LPLC, with MOE covering the difference for that month.
For students from lower-income families, they may tap into Student Care Fee Assistance and KCare subsidies to cover most of the fee increase, if any, beyond that month.
Background
LPLC's contracts were terminated in February 2026 following salary claims lodged by at least 54 employees, with alleged outstanding CPF contributions dating back to as early as December 2025.
The CPF Board has since initiated prosecution action against the centre, with the case currently before the courts.
LPLC is also under police investigation after parents reported alleged double GIRO deductions on Feb. 13.
Former LPLC staff have also alleged that their employment contracts were abruptly voided, student care centres were left unstaffed, and the company's director had become uncontactable.
