M'sian motorcyclist in his 30s killed after crash with allegedly intoxicated driver
The driver later tested positive for alcohol and drugs and was arrested.
A motorcyclist in his 30s died after a car allegedly driven by a man under the influence of alcohol and drugs crashed into him along Jalan Raya Barat in Klang, Selangor, Malaysia.
The driver, a local man in his 20s, has been arrested.
Driver allegedly overtook several vehicles before crash
According to South Klang district police chief ACP Lim Jit Huey, the accident happened when the car was travelling at high speed while overtaking multiple vehicles.
The vehicle then collided with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
The motorcyclist was thrown onto another vehicle during the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to The Star.
“The driver was overtaking several vehicles and collided with the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.
The victim, a local man in his 30s, was thrown onto another vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Driver tested positive for alcohol and drugs
Police said the suspect later tested positive for both alcohol and drugs and was subsequently arrested, according to The Star.
A video of the incident has since circulated online.
