Family of 5, including 3 children, die in fire that destroyed home in Pahang
Their bodies were found after the flame was extinguished.
A family of five were found dead in a fire that burned through their home in the early hours of Feb. 26 in Pahang, Malaysia.
The bodies of the parents and their three children were discovered by firemen from the local fire and rescue department after the flames were extinguished, New Straits Times reported.
The bodies were sent to Raub Hospital for further investigations.
Local police were alerted to the incident at around 3:35am, and firefighters subsequently arrived at 4:15am, Bernama wrote.
The flames were brought under control at around 4:48am.
According to the local fire department, the blaze completely destroyed the house, which measured 40 by 30 square feet.
Three cars and motorcycles were also destroyed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
