M'sia police arrest woman for restaurant rampage, allegedly attacked workers & gave out free food to other customers
A hangry woman is a dangerous woman.
A 29-year-old woman has been arrested after going on a rampage at a restaurant in Ipoh, early on Wednesday (Jan. 28) morning, injuring two workers and causing tens of thousands of ringgit in damage.
The Ipoh district police chief Assistant Commissioner Abang Zainal said that they received a report at about 6:31am from the restaurant owner, a 38-year-old man, regarding the incident.
Incident supposedly triggered by rejected money transfer request

According to police, the incident began when the woman allegedly asked a worker behind the counter to transfer money into her bank account, according to Sinar Harian.
“She lost her temper after the worker refused,” Abang Zainal said, adding that the incident occurred at about 6:26am.

The woman was then alleged to have acted aggressively, slapping the restaurant owner and using dangerous objects during the altercation.

She is accused of punching one worker, stabbing another with a fork, and using a meat cleaver to smash several pieces of restaurant equipment, including glass food display panels, reported Free Malaysia Today.
The woman also allegedly took about RM400 (S$129) from the cash drawer and distributed food for free to other customers at the premises.

The restaurant suffered losses estimated to be between RM45,000 (S$14,510) and RM45,400 (S$14,640) due to the damage caused.
The two injured workers sustained minor injuries to areas including the mouth, cheeks and chest, and received outpatient treatment at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.
Suspect recently discharged from hospital
Police said preliminary checks found that the suspect had recently been discharged from Hospital Taiping after undergoing psychiatric treatment.
Following her arrest, she was sent to Hospital Bahagia Ulu Kinta for further observation, while investigations are ongoing.
Police said the woman will be investigated under Sections 324, 427 and 380 of the Penal Code for causing hurt using weapons, mischief and theft in a building.
