PropertyLimBrothers confirms resignation of co-founder & VP, 'will not comment on rumours or speculation'
Marc Chan, who was previously the vice president of operations, will be the interim CEO.
PropertyLimBrothers (PLB) has confirmed the resignation of its CEO and co-founder, Melvin Lim, and vice president of strategy, Grayce Tan.
This comes after online speculation that Lim, and Tan, the latter of whom is an influencer (also known as @babygrayce on Instagram), are involved in an extramarital affair.
PLB also announced on Jan. 28 that after an "internal review following recent events", Marc Chan, who was previously the vice president of operations, will be the interim CEO with immediate effect.
In response to Mothership's queries, a PLB spokesperson said that leadership changes have been implemented after the review, and "the individuals concerned have resigned from their respective roles with immediate effect".
"We are in the midst of reinforcing our workplace conduct policies and governance processes to reaffirm clear professional boundaries and standards across the organisation," PLB shared.
"We will not comment on rumours or speculation. Our business operations and client services continue as usual."
Background
Tan, who joined PLB in 2022, is a Singapore content creator with a following of about 191,000 on Instagram.
Both Tan and Lim are married (not to each other), and Lim has four children.
The allegations first surfaced after videos purportedly showing the pair exiting an office room together were widely circulated on Reddit.
Following this, both Lim and Tan were removed from the company's leadership page on the website.
In videos provided to Mothership by a reader, sounds resembling moans were heard from behind a closed door along the corridor of an office building, leading some to speculate that the individuals inside were engaged in intimate behaviour.
In a separate clip, Lim and Tan were seen leaving the office, with Lim appearing to lock the door behind him.
Both Tan and Lim have since made their Instagram accounts private.
Their individual profile pages on the PLB website, as well as Tan's LinkedIn account, have also been taken down.
