3 Israeli tourists aged 23-33, arrested on Thai island Koh Phangan during drug raid at party
Busted.
Three Israelis, a man, 33, and two women, aged 23 and 24, were arrested on Koh Phangan, a popular island in southern Thailand, Bangkok Post reported.
Three tourists were eventually charged with drug possession, and a fourth suspect was charged with possession and supplying drugs.
What was seized
A variety of drugs were seized at the party. Their alleged supplier was also arrested.
The raid on a room at Bunny Villa on Sunday, Jan. 11 occurred after a complaint about a noisy gathering.
Foreigners were apparently seen entering and exiting premises.
The police seized 3.32g of cocaine, 28.99g of ketamine, 0.86g of powdered ecstasy, and 29 vapes.
Supplier caught
The three people arrested allegedly told police they bought the drugs from a 48-year-old man, who was also from Israel and who lived on the island.
They would apparently communicate via WhatsApp.
The alleged supplier was subsequently arrested on the island.
Police found 33.36g of cocaine, 16.07g of ketamine, 23 ecstasy pills and another 10.39g in small plastic bags.
Some 79,000 baht (S$3,232) in cash was seized from the house.
