Scoot 3rd safest budget airlines for 2026, S'pore Airlines 7th for full-service airlines
Top 10.
Scoot has been ranked the third safest airline among low-cost airlines for 2026, behind Hong Kong Budget airline HK Express and Jetstar Airways.
Meanwhile, Singapore Airlines, Scoot's parent company, ranked 7th among the world's safest airlines.
According to AirlineRatings.com, 320 airlines were ranked based on the total number of flights, fleet age, serious incidents, pilot training and international safety audits.
One addition for this year's rankings includes a greater emphasis on turbulence prevention, as it remains the leading cause of in-flight injuries.
Previously, in 2025, Singapore Airlines was left off the list following a serious turbulence-related incident, said AirlineRatings.com.
"After visiting [Singapore Airlines] safety and training centre and holding extensive discussions with their operations team, we are pleased to have them back on the list," said the CEO of AirlineRatings.com.
