S'pore woman, 52, puts feet up on bus again, screams 'no father mother' at man confronting her
The woman was given a 36-month conditional warning in July 2025.
A Singaporean woman well known for propping and airing her feet on public bus seats and handrails has gotten into yet another verbal altercation.
Tan Wee Teng, 52, was caught on video once more, yelling at a man who told her to put her feet down, as reported by Stomp on Jan. 8.
Tan was previously in court on Jul. 7, 2025, for her antics and was previously given a 3-year conditional warning.
This was for her five charges, ranging from public nuisance and criminal force to harassment.
'You work here ah, call driver'
A man surnamed Lim submitted a video of the altercation to Stomp, stating that he filmed the fight just as he boarded the SMRT service 190 bus at 5:45pm.
The bus was passing the Chelsea Gardens condominium bus stop along Stevens Road towards Whitley Road.
"Just as I stepped onto the bus, a man suddenly rushed forward and began shouting at the bus driver, demanding that he go to the back of the bus."
The middle-aged man dressed in a white polo shirt asked the driver to tell Tan to move her legs away from the window ledge.
The altercation resumed, and Lim kept the camera rolling, the man yelled out, "Money? Nothing to do with money, put down your leg”
Tan retorted with "go and call ah, you work here ah, call driver".
'No money lah you, no father mother'
Lim stated that the bus captain walked to the back of the bus at the next stop.
The clip posted by Stomp cut to a heated exchange that occurred shortly after.
The man said, "lady ah, no manners, very typical” and Tan squawked back, "no money lah you, no father mother".
Upon hearing the jab, the man yelled back, "Why you talk about father mother?".
Tan mumbled, "because you no money".
The man bellowed back, questioning her statement and calling Tan rude.
The bus captain was pictured in the video attempting to resolve and de-escalate the situation, putting himself between the two sparring parties and making the man step back.
Tan put her legs back on the window ledge shortly after
Lim told Stomp that right as he was about to get off, Tan had placed her legs back onto the window ledge.
Annoyed, Lim told the bus captain to remove her from the bus, but the driver simply looked at him.
Lim alighted the bus at the next bus stop near Stevens MRT station shortly after his request was ignored.
Tan's disruptive behaviour has been sighted multiple times.
She was brought to court on Jul. 7, 2025, with a total of five charges broken down into two counts of public nuisance, two counts of criminal force and one count of harassment.
All five charges were given a discharge not amounting to acquittal, and the prosecution will only pursue her if Tan commits fresh offences during her 36-month conditional warning.
