A Thai influencer had her watch stolen when she was in Singapore for the 2025 Singapore Formula One (F1) Grand Prix in October.

Taking to her Instagram on Nov. 4, Jinny Chotivichit shared that her S$400,000 Richard Mille watch was stolen during her stay in Singapore on Oct. 5.

"I never imagined such an incident could happen, especially in Singapore. A country that I love and admired for so long and considered as one of the safest places in the world," she said in her video.

She went on to share that she is unable to share any further details due to ongoing police investigations.

However, she clarified that she did not lose her watch at the F1 event, and that the incident happened when she not surrounded by tourists or the F1 crowd.

She implored watch traders or resale watch shops in Singapore to reach out to her so she can share the serial number of her watch with them.

In her caption, Chotivichit shared that the watch is "more than just a possession,"

"[It] represented personal significance and my own hard-earned money. Its loss has been deeply upsetting."

Low crime doesn't mean no crime

While many users hoped that she would find her watch soon, numerous others warned her that the low crime rate in Singapore does not mean there is no crime.

In the comments section of the same video on TikTok, which she posted on Nov. 1, a user questioned why she was blaming Singapore for her missing watch.

In response, Chotivichit replied: "I feel the country's reputation for safety and strict security made me let my guard down, and the system failed to protect guests in supposedly secure environments."

She also clarified in the comments that the watch was not stolen off her wrist, and it was not at a place where she was surrounded by tourists or the F1 crowd.

In another comment, Chotivichit stated that the suspected thief has been caught, but she was unable to retrieve her watch.
