Trailer reverses & gets stuck at Syed Alwi Rd, blocking traffic in both directions, driver, 24, assisting with investigations

A 24-year-old male driver in Singapore is assisting with investigations after a trailer self-skidded and got stuck at Syed Alwi Road on Nov. 3.

In response to Mothership's queries, the police said that they were alerted to the scene towards Jalan Sultan at around 7:10pm.

Reversed to enter construction site, blocked traffic for hours

According to Stomp, the trailer was reversing against the flow of traffic to enter a public housing construction site.

This led to a traffic blockage that lasted more than 10 minutes before the accident occurred.

The road was subsequently closed for over two hours while traffic police diverted vehicles and carried out investigations.

Trailer self-skidded: Police

Police confirmed that the trailer was believed to have self-skidded.

There were no injuries following the incident.

The trailer driver is assisting with ongoing police investigations.
