In the video, the driver can be seen watching the TikTok videos while driving.

He appeared to rely on the app's auto-scroll function to watch a series of videos, hands-free.

The passenger who recorded the incident said it took place on Oct. 31 at around 6pm, while she was on her way to Craig Road.

The journey lasted about 21 minutes, and the driver reportedly stopped watching videos on TikTok only in the final two to four minutes to use the navigation map.

"I complained to Grab and all I was told was that he got a warning," she said.

"We need better regulations for drivers to keep our roads safe - we missed five accidents in that one ride."

Driver has been suspended

In response to Mothership's queries, a Grab spokesperson confirmed that they have taken "immediate action by suspending the driver-partner and issuing a full refund to the passenger".

The spokesperson added this incident is "not reflective" of the vast majority of driver-partners, and affirmed that they "will continue to enforce strict adherence to" the code of conduct, including permanent removal from the platform for serious and repeated breaches.
