GV to fully operate cinema at Cineleisure from Aug. 4, The Projector to return to Golden Mile
New era.
Golden Village (GV) will fully operate the cinema at Cineleisure Orchard from Aug. 4, 2025, marking its full return to Cineleisure.
In addition to usual movie screenings, GV Cineleisure will also be available for venue hire, including corporate bookings and private functions.
In celebration of the reopening and the upcoming National Day weekend, GV will roll out a series of special promotions from Aug. 7 to 20, featuring S$6 movie tickets and complimentary drinks.
"The return to Cineleisure complements Golden Village's broader strategy of bringing community-oriented cinema experiences to central, high-traffic locations," said the cinema in a press release.
Moving back to Golden Mile Tower
Currently, the cinema at Cineleisure Orchard is being operated by The Projector and GV after Cathay Cineleisure stopped operations back in 2023.
The Projector will return to its original home at Golden Mile Tower.
In their Instagram post, the local independent cinema operator announced it will return to Golden Mile Tower on Aug. 6 and will cease operations at Cineleisure from Aug. 4.
"With the Golden Mile Tower en bloc now officially concluded without a transaction, we decided it's time to head back to the place it all began," said The Projector.
"We deeply apologise for the abruptness and the inconvenience this may cause, but we hope you’ll continue to support us. We know this affects you, so we are doing everything we can to make sure our move home is a smooth one for you."
Previously, The Projector announced in April that it would be raising their ticket prices and reducing daily screenings at their Golden Mile Tower outlet.
It had said that it would not have daily movie screenings and would be closed to the public except during events by the cinema.
