Boy collides with taxi after dashing across Yio Chu Kang Road while pedestrian light is red

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) is investigating an incident where a boy dashed across the road and was hit by a ComfortDelgro taxi.

In a video uploaded to Singapore Road Vigilante's Facebook page, a boy was seen crossing the road at the junction of Yio Chu Kang Road and Hougang Avenue 8.

While the pedestrian lights were still red, the boy dashed across the crossing.

He then collided with the taxi and was knocked to the ground.

The taxi came to a stop beyond the junction, while the boy got up and appeared to be unharmed.

He then picked up his belongings and crossed to the other side.

In response to Mothership's queries, SPF confirmed that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
