Phew.
Scoot plans to launch flights to Okinawa and Labuan Bajo after the exit of Jetstar Asia.
Both flight routes were previously exclusively served by the budget airline.
In response to Mothership's queries, a spokesperson from the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group confirmed that Scoot will commence the new services during the Northern Winter 2025 season (Oct. 26, 2025 to Mar. 28, 2026).
These include four-times weekly flights to Okinawa, twice-weekly flights to Labuan Bajo, and daily flights to Medan, subject to regulatory approval.
Increased frequency
In addition, SIA Group will ramp up its flight frequency for other routes.
From August 2025, Scoot will progressively increase its flight frequencies between Singapore and Bangkok, Clark, and Penang.
SIA will add flights between Singapore and Manila.
From Oct. 26, 2025, Scoot will increase its services between Singapore and Denpasar (Bali), Jakarta, Phuket, and Surabaya.
It will also further increase flights to Bangkok.
Additionally, SIA will add flights between Singapore and Jakarta, Colombo, and Phuket.
"All flight schedules will be announced in due course, subject to regulatory approval and alignment with our airline partners," the spokesperson said.
"The SIA Group continues to monitor the demand for air travel and adjust our network and capacity as needed."
