Smiths Authentic British Fish & Chips to remain open till July thanks to a temporary rent reduction
It originally planned to close in May.
Smiths Authentic British Fish & Chips will remain open for some time, after previously announcing that it would be closing in May.
The restaurant made the announcement on its social media post, saying that it will remain open "month-to-month" until July thanks to a temporary rent reduction from its landlord.
Smiths also thanked the public for their "support and kind messages" after it announced its planned closure.
"This wouldn't have been possible without you. We're so grateful for the chance to serve you a little longer," the restaurant wrote.
"Come by, say hi, and enjoy your favourite fish & chips while you still can. Let's make these last few months count."

"Only true authentic" British fish and chips in S'pore
In March, Smiths said it will be closing down in May, citing "rising costs".
It is one of the long-standing F&B mainstays in Balmoral Plaza.
According to their website, Smiths started off in 2006, and is "solely" owned by two "British gentlemen", who run the business day to day with a true passion.
They also claim that theirs is the "only true authentic" British fish and chips in Singapore.
