Concerned cat rescuers are looking for someone to adopt King Kong's partner, Kiki.

King Kong is a community cat that found dead, in a gruesome manner, near Yishun Oleander Breeze on May 9.

King Kong's body was found with his organs spilled out, and his eyes appeared to have been gouged out.

NParks is still investigating King Kong's death, according to a recent statement issued to share investigation findings of another community cat's death in Punggol.

Kiki and King Kong were inseparable partners

According to a post on a community cat Facebook page, a cat rescuer named Vera observed Kiki standing near King Kong's memorial corner.

The cat rescuer who wrote the Facebook page, Calesta Teo, described Kiki to be "just staring", "like she knew he was gone, but didn't understand why".

She added she hopes Kiki never finds out what happened to King Kong because "no soul deserves to know the cruelty he went through".

According to Teo, King Kong would groom her and Kiki would always wait for him, and such observations explained their close bonds.

"They’d sit on the grass together and watch people walk by, run to hide when someone shouted, and eat side by side when their cat mama came to feed them. They were inseparable."

To prevent Kiki from getting hurt by any potential abuser, Vera took Kiki under her care for the time being.

However, the cat rescuers hope to find a suitable adopter for Kiki.

Kiki's background

Described to be very loving and docile, Kiki is a female cat that is estimated to be around three years old.

She is vaccinated and dewormed.

She has also tested negative for both FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus) and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).

Interested owners must have their homes meshed, according to Cat Welfare Society's guidelines, and home visits will be done.

Those interested in adopting Kiki or fostering other cats in the area can reach out to Vera at +65 9239 6624.
