Red Dot United reveals 5-member team, including Ravi Philemon, contesting Nee Soon GRC
More new faces.

Red Dot United (RDU) announced on Apr. 20 that it plans to contest Nee Soon GRC.
In a doorstop at Yishun Ave 5, RDU's Secretary General Ravi Philemon shared that he will be part of the team that might face off against People's Action Party's (PAP) K Shanmugam, Goh Hanyan, Syed Harun Alhabsyi, Jackson Lam, and Lee Hui Ying.
The other RDU candidates are David Foo, Sharon Lin, Syed Alwi Ahmad, and Pang Heng Chuan.

David Foo
Foo, 60, has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Idaho and is an entrepreneur and research chemist.
Currently the director of a science-based learning centre, he is also RDU's Chairman, and previously contested the 2015 General Election as part of SingFirst.
Sharon Lin
Lin, 40, is a senior consultant in the IT services sector, with experience in cybersecurity, DevOps, and digital systems.
Syed Alwi Ahmad
Alwi, 57, has a PhD in Physics from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
He is a private school teacher who is RDU’s head of policy and its Malay bureau.
Pang Heng Chuan
Pang, 56, is the director of an international company based in China.
Ravi Philemon
Philemon, 56, currently serves as the managing partner of a boutique media business focused on health and wellness.
He contested the General Elections in 2015 as part of the Singapore People's Party, and again in 2020 as part of RDU.
Face-off
Shanmugam, who is the anchor minister for Nee Soon GRC, unveiled the four other PAP candidates in an Apr. 18 interview with Lianhe Zaobao.
Thus far, RDU appears to be the sole opposition party that will be contesting Nee Soon.
The People's Power Party shared that it will back out of the electoral fight, for the "well-being of Nee Soon voters".
