People's Power Party bows & apologises for staging multi-cornered fights in Ang Mo Kio, Tampines GRCs
"May the best party that provides the best so-called manifesto or policies win the hearts and minds of voters," said Goh Meng Seng.

The People's Power Party (PPP) bowed and apologised during a press conference today (Apr. 22) for staging what is set to be multi-cornered fights in Ang Mo Kio and Tampines GRCs.
The party announced today that it will field candidates in those GRCs.
Ang Mo Kio GRC is set to see a contest between:
- the incumbent People's Action Party (PAP)
- the Singapore United Party (SUP)
- the People's Power Party (PPP)
Tampines GRC is set to see a four-way fight between:
- the incumbent People's Action Party (PAP)
- the National Solidarity Party (NSP)
- the Workers' Party (WP)
- the People's Power Party (PPP)
PPP secretary-general Goh Meng Seng specifically apologised to the Singapore United Party (SUP) and National Solidarity Party (NSP) for embarking on what looks set to be a multi-cornered fight in Ang Mo Kio and Tampines GRCs.
"Both SUP and NSP are friends. I know their leaders," said Goh. "We fought battles together."
"I have to say sorry to them for our agenda, our specific, unique agenda, for People's Power Party. We will have to contest in Ang Mo Kio GRC and Tampines GRC...I have to apologise to them for this conflict. And may the best party that provides the best so-called manifesto or policies win the hearts and minds of voters."
Separately, Goh also announced the party's intention to pull out of Jalan Kayu SMC and Tampines-Changkat SMC:
"So, we have decided that we will actually have to disappoint our candidates as well as the supporters in Jalan Kayu and Tampines Changkat. We will not contest against the Workers' Party because they are the most effective, so-called branding in and out of Parliament."
