After receiving information about occupants at a Beo Crescent HDB unit illegally manufacturing and storing health products, the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) raided the flat.

During the raid they seized over 18,000 units of prescription medicines and supplements for sexual enhancements.

They also seized a few pieces of equipment and related paraphernalia, as well as 30 vapes and components from the flat.

The total seizure value was estimated to be about S$51,000.

The seized equipment and paraphernalia were used for the manufacture of capsules.

They included a blister pack sealing machine, capsule filling machine, empty gelatine capsules, empty bottles and containers, and printed labels for various sexual enhancement products.

A 36-year-old male suspect is assisting HSA with investigations for the suspected illegal manufacture and supply of sexual enhancement products, and sale of e-vaporisers.

Anyone caught importing, manufacturing and/or supplying illegal health products is liable on conviction, to an imprisonment term for up to two years and/or be fined up to S$50,000.

It is also an offence to import, distribute, sell, or offer for sale e-vaporisers and their components.

Persons convicted of these offences are liable to a fine of up to S$10,000, or imprisonment of up to six months or both for the first offence.
