5 people push car out of Bukit Timah flash flood waters
The car appeared to be stuck in the flood.
Several parts of Bukit Timah were hit by flash floods on Apr. 20 as a result of heavy rain in the afternoon.
Various videos showed the extent of the floods.
One video has since emerged showing the collective effort by members of the public to push a car out of the floodwaters at Queen's Road, as they got drenched in the process.
Car at Queen's Road appeared stuck in flood
The video was shared to the Roads.sg Facebook page.
It showed five people involved in an effort to push a black car out of the nearly knee-deep water towards a street sloping upwards.
It was still raining at the time.
Another video of the same spot put up on TikTok showed that the car had apparently been stuck in the flood earlier.
According to the Facebook video's caption, once the water level reached the upper portion of the car's tyres, it is not advisable to try and drive through the flood.
Shin Min Daily News reported that the group was comprised of residents who lived nearby and came to help upon seeing the situation.
At one point, the group were seen pausing for a moment.
However, the end of the video showed that they were eventually able to push the car onto the street and out of the water.
Facebook users commended the group for their efforts, while others expressed their amazement at the severity of the floods.
