Heavy rain causes flash floods in Bukit Timah, ankle-deep waters in some areas
Wet Easter Sunday.

Flash floods occurred in several parts of Bukit Timah on Apr. 20 due to heavy rain in the afternoon.
Photos and videos on social media showed the extent of the flash floods.

The affected areas were Bukit Timah Road, between Clementi Road and Blackmore Drive; Kings Road, between Prince Road and Lutheran Road; the junction between Stevens Road and Balmoral Road; and Coronation Walk.
National water agency PUB deployed its officers there to render assistance.
By 6:20pm, PUB said in updates that waters had subsided in all affected areas.
Moderate to heavy thundery showers with gusty winds were expected over the northern, southern and central areas of Singapore from 4:25pm for an hour, PUB had warned.
Flash flood risk alerts were issued for areas including Paya Lebar, Orchard Road, Thomson Road, Toa Payoh, Hillcrest Road, Sunset Drive, Boon Lay, and Alexandra Road.
