The National Parks Board (NParks) is still on the lookout for the crocodile spotted by a passer-by on Mar. 18 along Neo Tiew Crescent.

According to the passer-by, surnamed Koo, he noticed the reptile chilling on the side of the road while driving along Neo Tiew Crescent at around 1pm on Tuesday.

In response to Mothership's queries, director of wildlife management and outreach (wildlife) Cyrena Lin said that NParks has searched for the reptile on Mar. 18 and 19 since becoming aware of Koo's sighting on Tuesday evening.

"We will continue to survey the area and monitor any sightings reported," read the statement.

NParks inspected crocodile farm nearby

According to Lin, NParks has also inspected a crocodile farm adjacent to where the crocodile was sighted.

Without disclosing whether the crocodile belongs to the crocodile farm, Lin said NParks confirmed that the fences and enclosures at the farm "were in order".

"We have also advised other operators and farms in the vicinity to report any sightings to us," added Lin.

Although the statement did not name the crocodile farm, Singapore's only crocodile farm, Long Kuan Hung Crocodile Farm, is known to be located along Neo Tiew Crescent.

Additionally, Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, where visitors often spot crocodiles, is also situated along Neo Tiew Crescent, approximately 600m away from the crocodile farm.
