Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums rose across all categories in the latest tender exercise on Mar. 19.
Cat A
Premiums for Category A vehicles or smaller, less powerful cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp, as well as for EVs with up to 110 kilowatts of power, rose to S$94,502.
This was a 1.9 per cent increase, or S$1,772 from the S$92,730 recorded at the last bidding exercise.
This was the highest Cat A COE price in 2025 so far.
Cat B
The premium for Category B, for bigger, more powerful cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp, as well as EVs with more than 110 kilowatts of power, went up to S$116,890.
This was a 3.4 per cent increase, or S$3,890 more than the S$113,000 premium set at the last round.
This type of COE is needed to register larger and more powerful cars and electric vehicles (EVs).
Open Category
The premium for the open category COE price increased to S$116,991, S$4,090 or 3.6 per cent more than the previous premium of S$112,901.
Open category certificates can be used to register any vehicle type, excluding motorcycles, but they are almost exclusively used for larger, more powerful cars.
The motorcycle COE premium closed at S$9,511, an increase of 3.4 per cent or S$310 from the previous premium of S$9,201.
The commercial vehicle (Category C) premium climbed to S$70,089, an increase of S$3,088 or 4.6 per cent from the previous premium of S$67,001.
