The rider was sent to hospital.
A 24-year-old motorcyclist was sent to hospital after apparently skidding on gravel that spilled from a tipper truck along the Central Expressway (CTE) on Mar. 18.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that at about 8:25pm on Mar. 18, they were alerted to the accident along CTE towards the Ayer Rajah Expressway, near the Jalan Bukit Merah exit.
A motorcycle was believed to have self-skidded along the CTE, police said.
Skidded on gravel
Dashcam footage shared to Facebook on Mar. 19 showed that vehicles slowed down as they approached a stretch where gravel was scattered across the road.
The gravel appeared to have covered two lanes of the highway.
One rider was seen standing over a fallen motorcycle.
Another motorcyclist tried to overtake the cam bike on the left, but ended up skidding and crashing onto the road.
