Victor Lye replaced as chairman of PAP's Bedok Reservoir-Punggol branch in Aljunied GRC
Lye was a GE candidate in the 2015 and 2020 elections.
Citing unnamed insiders, CNA reported on Feb. 11, 2025 that the chairman of the PAP's Bedok Reservoir-Punggol branch will be replaced.
Current chairman Victor Lye will be replaced by current vice chairman Adrian Ang.
Previous PAP general election candidate
Lye was part of the PAP teams that contested in Aljunied GRC twice in 2015 and 2020, unsuccessful each time.
According to his PAP biography, Lye started out volunteering in Aljunied GRC in 1999 and is currently a board member and grassroots adviser in the People's Association.
Lye was co-opted into the PAP's Central Executive Committee (CEC) in 2020, despite not being a member in the 2018 CEC.
However, he was not a member of the CEC in 2022 or 2024.
Meanwhile, his replacement, Ang, is the director of facility and environmental management company Chye Thiam Maintenance.
Ang was previously the branch secretary for the Toa Payoh West division, under Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat, in Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC.
