Veteran S'pore actor & comedian Moses Lim passes away at 75

Veteran TV icon Moses Lim passed away on Feb. 11, 2025.

His death was announced in a Facebook post on Feb. 12.

Famously known for his role as Tan Ah Teck in the hit 1990s sitcom "Under One Roof", Lim is survived by his wife, two daughters and four granddaughters.

The statement stated: "Moses Lim, who brought endless laughter and joy to generations of Singaporeans, has taken his final bow, leaving behind a legacy that sparkles as brightly as his unforgettable smile."

His cause of death is unknown.

Bilingual entertainer

Other than his star turn in "Under One Roof", he was also known for his hilarious role as a comedian in the Chinese variety show "Comedy Night".

The statement added: "A true television pioneer, Moses danced effortlessly between Mediacorp's Channel 8 and Channel 5, bridging the gap, and showing us how humour and talent always transcended language."

"Take your bow, Tan Ah Teck. You've given us the performance of a lifetime. A television icon, a devoted father, and a Singapore treasure. What a wonderful show it has been," the statement concluded.
