Cyclist, 65, dies in accident with truck in Tuas, driver, 43, arrested
Police investigations are ongoing.

A 65-year-old cyclist died after an accident with a truck at a Tuas junction on Feb. 24.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Tuas Avenue 1 and 8 at about 11am.
The accident involved a truck and a bicycle, police said.
The aftermath
A video was shared to TikTok the same day by another user, who apparently came across the accident scene at around 3pm.

A police officer was seen standing next to a blue tent, which had been erected at the junction.
Authorities had cordoned off the accident scene.

A group of people had gathered at the side of the road.
It was not clear if they are related to the parties involved.
Truck driver, 43, arrested
Police said a 65-year-old male cyclist was pronounced dead at scene by an SCDF paramedic.
A 43-year-old male truck driver was arrested for driving without due care and attention causing death.
Police investigations are ongoing.
