2nd Street, a popular chain store from Japan that specialises in secondhand goods, is opening its first Singapore outlet at 313@somerset in Orchard Road.
Operations will start in end-April 2025, according to The Straits Times.
The 6,198 sq ft shop will carry more than 22,000 second-hand items from Japan, according to the thrift retailer.
The upcoming store will allow customers to appraise and sell their pre-loved items.
Job vacancy advertisements for positions in 2nd Street in Singapore have appeared online.
Retail associates are slated to start work by early March.
The new shop in the Orchard mall will take the place of Pomelo, a clothing retailer.
2nd Street, which started in 1996, has more than 1,000 stores worldwide, with 881 of them in Japan.
The sale of its premium condition vintage and luxury goods include clothes, bags and furniture, has since branched out to other countries, with 23 in Malaysia, four in Thailand, 38 in Taiwan and 48 in the United States.
A store will also be opening in Hong Kong.
