The second zone of Mandai Wildlife Group's Rainforest Wild Adventure celebrated its grand opening today (May 29), following a soft launch on May 20, with Minister for Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu gracing the opening ceremony as guest-of-honour.
Rainforest Wild Adventure East completes the two-zone wildlife attraction at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, following the opening of Rainforest Wild Adventure West in 2025.
Speaking at the opening, Fu, who is also the Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, described the occasion as more than a tourism milestone.
It was, she said, a reflection of Singapore's collective commitment to responsible stewardship of nature, without compromising its standing as a vibrant, world-class destination.
"We hope that the Singapore Zoo, Bird Paradise, and now Rainforest Wildlife Adventure East and West will continue to be to be the place where families can create cherished memories, where parents and children can spend their quality time together, and it will continue to be a place where people hold dear to their heart, a place of endearment for many generations of Singaporeans to come," Fu concluded.

Formerly known as Rainforest Wild Asia and Africa, the attraction has been rebranded as a single park comprising two zones: the already-open Rainforest Wild Adventure West, and the newly launched Rainforest Wild Adventure East.
Each zone features a network of elevated walkways for leisurely strolls, alongside forest trek paths for those seeking a more challenging experience.
Visitors can switch freely between the two, tailoring their adventure to their own pace and preference.
The park operates daily from 9am to 6pm, with last admission at 5pm.
A single ticket grants access to both zones, with free shuttle services and a sheltered walkway connecting the two areas.
Inspired by Africa and Madagascar
Spanning approximately 7ha, Rainforest Wild Adventure East draws inspiration from Afro-tropical and Madagascan environments, combining wildlife encounters with activity-based attractions.
The zone also marks the Southeast Asian debut of the okapi.

Native to the dense forests of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the okapi is an endangered species not found in any other zoological park in the region.
It can be easily recognised by its deep brown coat and striking zebra-striped legs, and it is also the giraffe's closest living relative.

The park is home to four okapis — two breeding pairs transferred from European zoos under the EAZA Ex situ Programme (EEP), which is a coordinated conservation initiative across accredited zoos worldwide that aims to sustain genetically diverse populations of threatened species.
Beyond the okapi, visitors can also expect to encounter pygmy hippos, eastern bongos, red river hogs, and Nile lechwes, while a multi-species Madagascar habitat brings together lemurs, turacos, and ibises.

At Split Rock Summit, visitors climb vertical rungs before edging across narrow boulders, with nothing but a harness between them and the drop below.
From the top, visitors can take in panoramic views of the Madagascan forest and spot lemurs nearby.
Treetop Traverse

Rounding out the Adventure+ offerings at Rainforest Wild Adventure East is the Treetop Traverse, a 125m harnessed course across suspension bridges and narrow planks.
As visitors make their way through the treetops, the park's wildlife, including the okapi, may make an unexpected appearance in the forest below.
Dining and shopping
Feeling a little peckish after a day of adventure? Rainforest Wild Adventure East has two dining options to keep you fuelled.
Rangers Retreat Restaurant offers a relaxed dining experience inspired by African flavours, while Rangers Pitstop is the go-to spot for quick bites and refreshments.
Rounding off the visit is a themed retail experience at the entrance of both zones, featuring Singapore's only National Geographic pop-up spaces and fan-favourite apparel collections.
