A 45-year-old man died after he was reportedly gored to death by a runaway buffalo in Ulu Tiram, Johor, Malaysia.
The incident occurred on May 27 at 10am, Malay Mail and Bernama reported.
Gored
A 40-second video circulating online showed a black buffalo charging towards a crowd.
The buffalo then darted towards the man and knocked him over, goring him with its horns in the process.

The man was later seen getting back up to his feet after being attacked.
He was believed to have sustained severe injuries and died as a result of the incident, Kosmo! Online reported.
Post-mortem findings revealed that the cause of death was due to vascular injuries to the victim's left leg.
Buffalo meant to be sacrificed
Commenters who responded to the video noted that the buffalo was apparently meant to be sacrificed for Eid al-Adha, an Islamic holiday.
While commenters expressed condolences towards the man, others criticised the handling of the situation, with some suggesting that the buffalo should have been sedated.
According to Free Malaysia Today, animal sacrifice is widely practised in Malaysia.
During the holiday, mosques and community centres around the country carry out the ritual slaughter of animals and distribute the meat to the poor.
Another buffalo attack
In a separate buffalo attack on the same day in Malaysia, another 45-year-old man suffered a fractured left rib.
The incident took place at Batu 19, Kampung Sungai Tiram on May 27 as well, Bernama reported.
