A 14-year-old girl in Malaysia allegedly slashed her neck and wrists after she was stopped from meeting her 17-year-old boyfriend at a house.

The teen was allegedly under the influence of a drug-laced vaporiser, New Straits Times and Bernama reported.

The girl's 49-year-old adoptive mother stopped the youth from meeting her boyfriend at a house on Jonker Walk, Melaka, Malaysia.

Enraged

According to local police, the incident occurred on May 24 at about 10:33pm.

The girl was apparently enraged and went into a bedroom on the first floor of the house and reportedly injured herself with a knife.

The girl was conveyed to a local hospital, and her condition was stable.

Vape

Her adoptive mother claimed that the girl was under the influence of a “mushroom” vape before the incident.

Investigations also revealed that the girl, who was no longer in school, was first introduced to the vape by her boyfriend in February 2026.

All individuals involved, including the adoptive mother and residents of the house aged 14 and 17, are being investigated.
