A group of students who were hanging out after school in Tampines West were allegedly harassed by an elderly man.
One witness told Mothership that a younger boy approached a group of older kids from the same school, asking for help as he was being "touched" by the man.
He told the rest that he was "uncomfortable" as the man had rubbed his head, the witness said.
Touched and squeezed students
When two other students confronted the man, he claimed that he and the boy were “good friends,” the witness said.
However, the boy immediately denied this and said that he did not know the man.
The man then allegedly began approaching other students from the same school, even shaking hands with one and refusing to let go, even after several people told him to stop.
The witness said the man squeezed the student’s hand "so tightly that it became red".
Throughout the incident, the man was behaving erratically, the witness said.
He started doing "kung fu moves" and dancing in public, as shown in a video recorded.
He also allegedly shouted derogatory comments as well.
Police called
Mothership understands that the police were called, and officers spoke to the man before he left.
"Many students were disturbed by what happened, and we wanted to share this incident so that other students and parents in the area can be aware," the witness said.
The witness said this was not the first time the students had seen the man in the area.
