Former actor Huang Yiliang, 64, was allegedly attacked by a fellow hawker at Circuit Road Hawker Centre.
According to Lianhe Zaobao, the police received a report around 6pm on Sunday, May 10.
Huang was reportedly attacked by a 60-year-old man.
Videos of Huang gesturing towards the hawker centre, and being wheeled away on a stretcher were circulated online.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they received a call for assistance on May 10 at about 6pm at Block 79A Circuit Road.
One person was conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
The police told Mothership that upon arrival, officers established that a 64-year-old man was assaulted by a 60-year-old man.
The older man was conveyed conscious to the hospital and the younger man is assisting with investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Huang runs a hawker stall at Circuit Road called Old Fisherman.
He was recently in the news for a dispute with a chicken rice seller.
