Elderly man allegedly falls & collides with car while crossing road in Bedok, sent to hospital

An elderly man appeared to have been crossing a road when he fell down and collided with a car.
The collision resulted in him sustaining a head injury, requiring him to be taken to the Changi General Hospital (CGH).
Fallen while crossing
The incident took place on May 9, 2026 at around 11am at a road crossing outside Block 134 Bedok Reservoir Road.
Shin Min Daily News reported that the elderly man had fallen while crossing the road.
A black car that was turning right reacted quickly by braking immediately, preventing a more serious accident.
Despite that, the elderly man suffered a cut on his forehead.
According to a witness, several passers-by helped and called for an ambulance.
However, it is still unclear whether he fell before making contact with the car.
Taken to CGH
The SCDF, responding to a query from Mothership, said that it was alerted to a road accident along Bedok Reservoir Road at around 11:45am.
After attending the scene, the SCDF conveyed one person to Changi General Hospital.
The SPF told Mothership that the incident involved a 91-year-old man, who was conveyed conscious to the hospital, and a 59-year-old car driver was assisting with investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
