3 men to be charged for rioting after allegedly attacking male victim, 18, at Eu Tong Sen Street

Three men aged between 20 and 21 will be charged for their suspected involvement in a case of rioting on May 12.
In a news release on May 11, the police said that they were alerted to a fight along Eu Tong Sen Street on May 10, 2026, at 3:15am.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the three men had allegedly attacked an 18-year-old male victim following a dispute.
The victim sustained lacerations to his lips and was conveyed conscious to the hospital.
Arrested on same day
Through follow-up investigations and with the aid of images from CCTVs and police cameras, the identities of the men were established, and they were arrested on the same day.
The men will be charged with the offence of rioting under Section 147 of the Penal Code 1871.
The offence carries an imprisonment term of up to seven years and caning.
Police investigations are ongoing to trace the remaining assailants.
The police said they have zero tolerance for "brazen acts of violence" that threaten public safety.
