Smiths Authentic British Fish & Chips at Balmoral Plaza to relocate after 15 years, last day May 17

Following 15 years of operations, Smiths Authentic British Fish and Chips shop at Balmoral Plaza will be relocating.

According to a recent Instagram post, it announced its last day of business to be May 17, 2026.

This comes after it previously opened its first fish and chip shop in Singapore in 2006, its website states.

Moved by overwhelming support

"We've been truly moved by your overwhelming support and the positive comments you’ve shared with us," the post read.

Expressing its gratitude to customers, it added: "From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being the most important part of our success. We couldn't have done it without you."

Following the announcement, customers have taken to its comments section asking where it will be relocating to, and suggesting possible locations.

Though the post did not mention its eventual destination, one customer commented that as long as it remains in Singapore, it will do.

Reservations

Noting that there is still some time until its last day, Smiths Authentic British Fish and Chips said it is still taking reservations for its final weeks.
