The victim, 17, suffered a cut on his chin that required about seven stitches.
One female and three male teenagers, aged between 14 and 18, were arrested for rioting.
The police told Mothership that they received a call for assistance regarding a fight at 24 Circular Road in the Boat Quay area on Jan. 30, 2026 at about 11:30pm.
A 17-year-old male teenager was conveyed conscious to the hospital.
Police investigations are ongoing.
What happened
A 49-second video, as well as shorter clips of the incident, have been circulating online.
The video showed a group of youths arguing in what appeared to be the back alley of shops along Circular Road.
At one point in the video, one youth was seen throwing a punch at the victim who was assaulted.
The victim was then hit in the face again as he backed away.
He was then hit and shoved by two male youths.
A third male youth in pink pants then choked the victim out from the back.
When the victim was released from the chokehold, he appeared to have passed out and his head could be heard hitting the ground with a thud.
Victim's account
In response to Mothership's queries, the victim claimed that he was attacked because he was accused of being a “playboy” and not being loyal to someone he was previously speaking to.
He claimed that he was accused of “wanting to do lewd things” to the person who filmed the video, on top of other allegations, including behaving inappropriately towards girls.
The victim also claimed he only knew one person from the group.
A bystander called for an ambulance and the police, the victim said.
He added that he sustained injuries, including a cut on his chin that required about seven stitches.
