Two men, aged 25 and 31, were arrested for affray for fighting in public at Serangoon MRT station on Mar. 23.
A video of the incident was posted online.
It showed the two men being restrained and separated by station staff along the concourse near the gantries to enter and exit the station.
At one point, sounds of broken glass could be heard.
The two men were also seen and heard taunting each other and gesticulating for each other to step forward.
One of the men, dressed in a long-sleeved top, was seen rushing at the other man and lifting up a chair belonging to the station.
The chair was then taken away by a staff member as others intervened to separate the two men.
Members of the public gawked.
The fight took place on the North East Line platform. The police said they received a call for help at about 5:05pm.
The two men were injured, but both declined to be taken to the hospital, the police said.
